Born in Kulca and raised in Urumqi, thefounder of Laghmano grew upsurrounded by the rich traditions, flavors, and cultures of his Uyghur heritage. Froman early age, food was more thansomething to eat—it was a way ofbringing people together, sharingtraditions, and keeping culture alive.

At the age of 10, he moved to Turkey, where he spent his formative years immersed in a diverse culture and surrounded by new flavors and culinary traditions. Growing up between different cultures gave him a deep appreciation for food and the unique stories behind it. His connection to Uyghur cuisine, however, remained a meaningful part of who he was.

Yet throughout those years, one passion never disappeared: sharing the food and culture of his Uyghur heritage

He noticed that Chinese cuisine was already widely known throughout the United States, while authentic Uyghur cuisine was still largely unfamiliar to many Americans. He wanted to introduce people to the bold spices, hand-pulled noodles, savory meats, fresh ingredients, and comforting flavors that had been part of his heritage and memories since childhood.

AFTER YEARS OF DREAMING,PLANNING, AND WORKING TOWARD THAT GOAL,LAGHMANO WAS BORN.

Laghmano is more than a restaurant. It is a story of heritage, family, perseverance, and the journey of an immigrant who carried the flavors of home across continents.
From Kulca and Urumqi, to Turkey, and eventually to America, each chapter of his life helped shape the restaurant he is creating today.

Through Laghmano, he hopes to share authentic Uyghur cuisine with a new generation, introduce guests to the flavors he grew up with, and create a place where people can gather, enjoy a great meal, and experience a taste of Uyghur culture.
